The Enfield Citizens Advice Bureau aims to ensure that all citizens across the Borough have 'access to justice' - no matter their age, gender, ethnicity or status. All our staff (paid and volunteers) located at our offices in Ponders End work towards this cause. The list of our clients' needs is endless: whether it is their housing, their employment, their financial situation...

The Enfield Citizens Advice Bureau provides advice to the community, in all its diversity, to all its needs, to ensure that everyone is aware of the services and assistance available to them.

Mission Statement

Our Vision

Enfield CAB has a 30 year track record of delivering information and advice services within our community. Our vision is to provide greater access to information and advice services in Enfield. Greater accessibility ensures more individuals have access to the information and advice that will assist them make informed choices, and build benefits for the whole Borough by developing income to support the Borough’s local economy. To achieve our vision we are developing and maintaining a programme of activity under five themes:

  1. Developing Access - Extending hours and points of service access project.
  2. Developing Sustainable Services.
  3. Developing Partnership & Communication.
  4. Ensuring Better Governance.
  5. Developing Volunteers & Staff.

To achieve this vision, the Enfield CAB Services aims are:

FREE, CONFIDENTIAL, IMPARTIAL AND INDEPENDENT SERVICE

We are not affiliated to any political party, nor influenced by or connected to any local or central government department.

ENFIELD CITIZENS ADVICE BUREAU

Registration Service line:

We register requests for advice, offer appointments, provide information leaflets and signpost to alternative advice providers where appropriate. Clients can call the Registration Service Line (020 8375 4170) 5 days a week (Monday – Friday) from 10am - 4pm.

Telephone Advice Line:

Clients can also receive advice by calling our telephone advice line 020 8375 4170. Generalist advice is available by phone Monday to Friday from 10am - 4pm.

National Online Advice Service:

We provide free online information and guidance, including frequently asked questions, in seven languages and fact sheets for download. You may find the answer to your query by clicking on this link online advice.

Email Advice:

We provide a basic advice and information service via email - not in depth casework. For EMAIL ADVICE please click on the following link

Reception Service:

We are offering a reception information and sign posting service from 10am – 1pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. During this time our reception area is open for clients to obtain information leaflets, fact sheets and to access our advice kiosks with the support of reception staff.

We are currently reviewing the service we offer in an attempt to improve access to our service. Because of the terms of our grant we are only able to advise people who live in the Enfield borough.

Evening Advice Session:

Tuesday evening appointments at 5pm - 5.45pm.
