About Us
Enfield Citizens Advice Bureau Services is a registered charity (Registered Charity No: 1072841). It is a non-profit making organisation that aims to help the people of the London Borough of Enfield.
The Enfield Citizens Advice Bureau Services' Vision
Our main objective is to inform the residents of the Borough of Enfield of their rights, as well as responsibilities, and to make them aware of the services that are available to them so they can enjoy their rights and better express their needs.
To achieve this vision the Enfield CABx Services aim:
- To ensure provision of a high calibre, quality assured advisory service, which is easy to access.
- To enable and empower people to deal efficiently with the wide range of problems they face by providing an effective referral and support service.
- To exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services both locally and nationally.
Mission Statement:
Free, accessible, quality advice for the diverse communities in Enfield. (Enfield Citizens Advice Bureau Services acknowledges that the population of Enfield is changing and that there has been and will continue to be an increase in the numbers of diverse communities that will need to be serviced).
Principles of Enfield Citizens Advice Bureau Services
The key principles of the Enfield Citizens Advice Bureau Services are:
- To ensure that individuals do not suffer through ignorance of their rights and responsibilities, of the services available to them or through an inability to express their needs effectively.
- To provide a free, confidential, impartial and independent service, based on the principles of equality and accessibility to all communities within the London Borough of Enfield. We value diversity and believe that it enhances the Borough and so work towards ensuring that the community receives value for money through the public funding sources that finance Enfield Citizens Advice Bureau Services.
- To strive to keep customer care at the heart of the Service and endeavour to provide this through bureau based service delivery points as well as through outreaching into the community itself. Other forms of providing advice and information are being considered and will become part of the service delivery within the Borough. These will include a web presence, e-mail advice and other methods of outreaching into communities in line with strategies like the Enfield Local Area Agreement which attempts to tackle child poverty.
- To exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services, both locally and nationally.
