Getting advice
Through a number of different channels, the Enfield Citizens Advice Bureau provides a free, confidential and impartial service of advice, information and assistance to everybody who asks, regardless of race, gender, disability or sexual orientation.
Our service is available to anyone who lives in the Borough of Enfield. We are able to take up issues with the appropriate authority on behalf of individuals or groups, and where appropriate will refer clients to other advice agencies. Our database of information is updated electronically each month in order to ensure that our advice is as accurate as possible.
We provide advice on a huge range of problems faced by individuals, including debt, housing, employment, disability, benefit and immigration issues. We provide information in English, or we can arrange for translation services to our minority groups such as Greek Cypriot, Somali, Punjabi, Urdu and Polish.
Anyone who lives in Enfield borough can phone in on our Registration Line Service on 020 8375 4170 (Monday – Friday) between 10.00am and 4pm for an assessment of advice need; or you can visit the CAB National Online Advice Service at www.adviceguide.org.uk; or call us on our national 24 hour telephone advice line and speak to our specialist advisers.
Specialist Consultations
We provide pre-booked appointments when we consider it appropriate, with solicitors on various matters after an initial assessment.
Referrals
We suggest alternative organisations when we consider it more appropriate or if we are unable to offer assistance.
