Volunteering with us means giving some of your time to help us and your local community and we ask that non-advice giving volunteers commit to one day per week. We ask for a two day commitment for trainee advisers and as the training can take up to two years, anyone considering the adviser training should bare this in mind before volunteering. Trustee boards tend to meet in the evenings so may be suitable for people who work full time.
Although you must be over 16 there is no upper limit to volunteering with us.
Volunteering with Enfield CAB is a rewarding and challenging experience that can make a real difference to people's lives. There is nothing more satisfying than helping someone with a problem and seeing the impact you can have on their lives by simply assisting them to get the advice they need. Volunteering with Enfield CAB should not affect any benefits you are currently receiving, but please do talk to
Marcia Cabey if you would like to discuss this further. Also, we will reimburse you on your traveling expenses, so you should not find that you are out of pocket.
